About this property

Welcome to Laurel Mountain Ski Resort

Laurel Mountain Ski Resort is a compact, traditional-style ski area located in Boswell, Pennsylvania, offering a 761-feet vertical drop with long runs and cross-country trails. The resort provides a rustic lodge positioned conveniently at the top of the mountain, creating easy access for ski enthusiasts. Facilities include a bar and restaurant on site, along with accessible features such as wheelchair-accessible parking, entrances, and restrooms.

Visitors can enjoy a family- and LGBTQ+ friendly environment, with amenities that cater well to children and provide free on-site parking. The ski area maintains a laid-back atmosphere favored by intermediate skiers who appreciate efficient lift operations and well-maintained trails. While not the largest resort in the region, it offers a unique charm distinct from nearby options like Seven Springs or Hidden Valley.

Guest feedback highlights the resort’s minimal lift lines, friendly staff, and an authentic, old-school vibe. Some have noted that the terrain is best suited to skiers rather than snowboarders, and that snow conditions can depend heavily on weather due to limited snowmaking. The lodge’s intimate size and historic décor add to the overall experience, appealing to those who value a quieter, less commercialized mountain setting.

Laurel Mountain actively supports active military with discounts and accepts credit and debit cards for payments. It serves as a practical choice for visitors seeking a straightforward skiing experience without extensive off-slope activities. Overall, the resort fits well for families, intermediate skiers, and anyone looking for a modest but enjoyable winter sports destination in the Laurel Highlands.

It’s my favorite spot of the 3 shared fail resorts in the area. Seven springs has a better night life and more accommodations for off the snow activities, but the trail quality and lift efficiency is much better at laurel. For me; night life/park I go to springs. Cruising with intermediate friends and riding groomers I go to laurel. For beginners I’d recommend hidden valley,

Not the largest ski resort in the area, but Absolutely beautiful with with fun and engaging terrain and a laid-back atmosphere. They do a great job of keeping the lines moving so you never have to wait very long even if it gets a little crowded. Every staff member I've spoken to here is also super knowledgeable and very helpful. I highly recommend.

Price of lift tickets half of Seven Springs, and no lines on a Sunday. Great terrain and I really loved the fact the lodge is at the top of the mountain. Super friendly staff, and the lodge has a great rustic feel.

let me start by saying im a snowboarder this is not the place for us. the flat football field length area before getting to the runs is exhausting. some decent runs but very small. beautiful lodge, my Moscow mule was delicious! i hear it has the steepest slope in PA but i went on my 6th day of snowboarding ever... was not ready for that yet

Yes, it was closing day for the season. Yes, Mother Nature unleashed recent abnormally warm temps and yesterday's thunderstorms. Yes, the lodge is not huge. Yes, every one is extremely friendly. Yes, we're already planning another cross-state 3+ hour drive to this historically rich ski area! Loved all the history hanging on the lodge's walls. Looking forward to our return visit, to this neat little secret in the Laurel Highlands!

We love this place for ours laid back vibe. Despite having only one lift, the vertical drop is the highest of the three resorts. It's a tiny place but super fun. Parking is so easy! The lodge is very conveniently located. There are two food options. The downstairs pub is great if you want to hang out for some time. Kids love the Wildcat stew. There's less snow making than at seven springs and hidden valley so snow is dependent on the weather but every time we've gone we've been happy.
